Growth up again in UK manufacturing

UK manufacturing's renaissance accelerated in October after better than hoped O.6% growth.

The sixth successive month of rising output sent annual growth to a 16-year high of 5.8%, despite a 0.2% fall for the wider index of production after oil and gas extraction declined on the month.

Vicky Redwood of Capital Economics said: "The recovery in the industrial sector is picking up pace again."
