National Express finance chief departs for Croda

A tough week for National Express just got worse as the transport group has lost its finance director just days after missing out on the ScotRail franchise.

National Express today said finance boss Jez Maiden has resigned to join chemicals maker Croda in the same position after six years in the role.

He has experience at Northern Foods and as well as British Vita and Hickson International.

Maiden, who will join Croda early in 2015, will succeed Sean Christie who announced in June that he would step down from the role after nine years in April.

National Express’ finance director of its UK Bus arm will success Maiden on an interim basis.
